Info:

Catalyst High Performance Advanced Catching Program offers athletes the chance to develop their skills through targeted drills, machine work, and live catching scenarios. Our HP defensive programs are designed to foster individual growth within a team environment. Our goal is to enhance catching fundamentals by focusing on repetitions, framing techniques, pitch calling, blocking, and live opportunities.

This program is led by experienced coaches, including future, current, and former Division I, II, and III collegiate softball players, as well as coaches with 15+ years of coaching expertise. The catching program is headed by Taylor Krapf & Katie Koren, former University of Minnesota and Hamline University catcher. Athletes will receive ample repetitions, honing skills such as framing, quickness, blocking, throwing, and handling game situations. Catchers will receive personalized attention to refine their technique, footwork, body positioning, blocking fundamentals, and arm strength. Hip mobility exercises will also be incorporated to boost agility, flexibility, and range of motion.

Catchers will gain valuable experience managing defensive situations and collaborating with pitchers in live game-speed scenarios, all under the guidance of our expert staff.

  • Twice a Week: Mon/Wed from 7-8 PM w/ Taylor Krapf
